Oi lads, it’s been a minute. I’m in Newcastle in the UK on exchange. I’m a single girl right now. Life’s completely different compared to the last time I was on here, but it’s actually at least a hundred times better. I’m really happy and enjoying life a lot. Only negative is that I now know I have anxiety and this summer it was really bad for a couple of weeks but my psychologist has already helped me a ton and I’m coping a lot better with it. So yeah, that was a little update. Love you, bye. (Maybe this will be a weird online diary for me now? Also, how come I still have almost all my followers… all y’all must be dead)

15-year-old Karen Perez from Houston, Texas, had just recently celebrated her Quinceañera and dreamed of one day working in a day care or animal shelter. She was kind and a good student who often spoke about her excitement of becoming a mother one day. “Her words were as soft as rose petals; she wouldn’t harm a fly,” recalled her friend. On the 27th of May, 2016, however, she disappeared. After she was reported missing, a search party was assembled. Attending the search party was Karen’s 15-year-old boyfriend. As he and his father drove around searching, the teenage boy told his father to “just take him home because she is not alive…” His father immediately called the police.

Days later, members of the search party discovered Karen’s body in a grotty abandoned building in the 1600 block of Avenue M, just across the street from South Houston High School. She had been strangled and then shoved into a cabinet under a sink. Police immediately brought the boyfriend in for questioning and confiscated his phone as well as Karen’s phone. On his phone, police found text messages to Karen in which he demanded she skip school with him on the day she disappeared. When she said she couldn’t, he said he would kill her.

Even more disturbing was what investigators found on Karen’s own phone. She captured the audio of her own murder. In the audio, the boyfriend is heard raping Karen who exclaims “I don’t want to, I told you I don’t want to!” Afterwards, Karen is manually strangled by her boyfriend as she mumbles "I don’t want to die…“ 

The boyfriend’s identity was never released due to his age.

so it should be clear to everyone that the people who belong in the tcc are people who are interested in psych, mental health, criminology, the criminal justice system, and learning and discussing things about that. Like… jokes are cool I mean obviously we’re not robots and jokes are a good way to deal with dark stuff like this so thats obvs allowed, but people in the tcc understand that there is a line of offensive comments and actions that should not be crossed. 

but… and this is probably controversial, I don’t think you should call yourself a part of the tcc if you are seriously a hybristophiliac, or just in general, condone the actions of the people discussed in the community, want to be in a relationship with them, want to fuck them, or just think theyre better people than they were. (im talking to you columbiners, roofies, and new people in the dahmer community) 

Like… that’s a fandom. I’m sorry but thats a fucking fandom akin to directioners and superwholocks. I mean yes, technically, putting flower crowns on murderers, making a romantic nickname and tag on your blog for a killer, and calling dylann roof daddy isn’t DIRECTLY hurting anyone, it’s hurting you psychologically, and it’s damaging to the actual true crime community, a community of people who are intelligent and want to learn and help people, victims and criminals.

just. there’s a distinction, and i think a lot of people, especially the new members making blogs on here, need to understand.

Lol I’m an absolute true crime junkie but I hate the sub section that admires killers and dreams of shooting up their school and tries to be edgy by saying outrageous dumb shit. Even if you sliiiiiightly condone killers’ actions, I fucking hate you and I hope you die before you’re able to hurt anyone. Those fucking angsty teens need to find another hobby.

Moz has fucked up plenty of times but each time there were some reasons to give him the benefit of the doubt (we shouldn’t’ve). I think defending pedohiles and rapists REALLY oversteps all boundaries. if you’re one of the fans still trying to justify his words, I am very disappointed in you. get a grip.
