and we fucking suck because a lot of Dutch people can’t let go of a racist tradition for children that we could easily change because children don’t give a fuck whether the person handing them candy and presents is black or white or tan or purple or green the only thing that would change is that black people do not have to feel like they’re less when white assholes do black face and play a slave to an old white man for a national holiday yet so many middle aged ugly fucks think it’ll “ruin the holiday for the children!!!” if we simply destroy the racist aspect of a holiday meant to be enjoyed by every child including black kids who wonder why white kids laugh at them and call them zwarte piet it’s ridiculous anyway that adults are leading this discussion when the vast majority of kids clearly would barely notice if the workers of sinterklaas became orange all of a sudden instead of “black from the soot” (since when does being black from soot of a chimney mean you also have to wear red lip stick and gold hoops and an afro???)
