a youtuber i love called Arden Rose said some very clever stuff. first of all, she mentioned how we shouldn’t fear Donald Trump as much as we think we should. after winning, he took down a bunch of things from his election website such as him being pro-life and the ban on Muslims entering the country. it’s quite clear that he simply used the angry Republicans and their deepest fears and wishes to win the election. i always felt like he didn’t quite believe all the bullshit he was spewing but he knew they would eat it up. this doesn’t mean he’s not a total fuckhead because he still is. simply the fact that his campaign was based on so many lies is messed up. on the other hand, people shouldn’t underestimate Mike Pence and his power, because he’s a true monster.

secondly, this is not the end. this is the beginning of something great. the young generation is smart. as she said, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia; all of those things are on their death bed. some more than others, but it’s true. we’ve come so far the past decades. what Donald Trump did is bring out the desperation in the Offended White People of holding on to their old values of man > woman, gays are bad, black people are below whites etc. they clung onto him because they saw that the country was shifting away from those close-minded ideas. so many whites may have had gay friends but inside, they were afraid of change and afraid of what might happen for the Almighty White Man. we shouldn’t back down and continue our fight towards equality. i’m not going to pretend like you’re all going to be ok. we don’t know what’s going to happen. in any case, whatever Trump won’t do, his supporters will do. those are the people that will come face to face with the terrified Americans. i am terrified for you.

Trump will fail. he cannot be re-elected in 4 years. there’s no way he’s going to get away with this.

either he does exactly what he said he will and he will destroy lives and bring hate and destruction, and whether the white people like it or not, they won’t be happy about it either. he’s no politician, he doesn’t know what he’s doing. he doesn’t understand shit and he will not better your lives. yeah, if you’re rich, you’re probably fine, but don’t expect to be able to reach for the stars and climb up from your depressing 9-5 job under his presidency. he doesn’t care. you will realize Trump was a mistake and he will have more people against him.

or he does not do what he said he will, which appears to be quite likely considering he’s already taken back some things he said and changed his policies. in this case, he will be exposed for the liar and incompetent idiot he truly is, and Republicans will hate him too for letting them down. ideally, they will see that in this day and age, there’s no room for a president that wants to go backwards in time and destroy what people have worked towards for so many years. that is actually unlikely, but after such a disastrous 4 years, hopefully someone will come along to fix his mistakes (*cough* Michelle Obama *cough*).
