the media doesn’t want there to be a rise in hate crimes, because they aren’t reporting it at all. twitter and tumblr may be ridiculed as sources but there are real people on there with real stories and the amount of heartbreaking shit i’ve come across the past few days in nauseating. like i said, these include photos and videos that are most certainly real. it’s not a joke that his victory, or rather the election (if he lost i’m sure the same would’ve happened), have sparked a lot of hate all around the country, be that from both sides, but racist, sexist and homophobic incidents have risen. yeah, these fucks were already bigoted, but Trump winning has enabled them and made them feel allowed to express their feelings openly and to attack others.

that is if you’re not implying these things already happen on such a large scale, which is equally as troubling. regardless, the stories are coming out, more than they did before. people are taking a stand against it, but little attention is given to it in traditional media. they clearly choose to ignore it, or just don’t want to believe alternative news sources such as twitter and facebook.
